Clearview Autopsy Group offers two private autopsy options: complete autopsy and limited autopsy. Every case is handled by a dedicated case coordinator and a licensed board-certified pathologist, who help facilitate communication and coordination among the family, funeral home, autopsy facility, laboratory partners, and other necessary parties.
During intake, we review the circumstances of death, the family’s questions, available medical records, timing considerations, and funeral home logistics. We then help determine which autopsy option is most appropriate.
A complete autopsy is a comprehensive postmortem examination intended to evaluate the cause of death and identify significant natural disease, injury, or other contributing findings.
This option may be appropriate when the cause of death is unclear, when multiple medical conditions may have contributed to death, or when the family wants the most complete postmortem evaluation available.
Your case coordinator also provides family updates throughout the process, so you know what stage the case is in, what has been completed, and what the next step will be.
Complete Autopsy Includes:

A limited autopsy is a focused postmortem examination limited to selected organs, body regions, or medical questions.
This option may be appropriate when the family has a specific concern, when a complete autopsy is not desired, or when cultural, religious, or personal preferences favor a narrower examination.
